Freak Show Final

Here's my final draft of my Freak Show poster.  I made changes according to the critique and like the way it came out.  The text is easier to read on the actual poster.

  1. The first thing that grabs me is Venice Beach. The green colored box nicely frames or isolates "freak show" depending if I want it or I dont.
All the colored boxes are strong. The red one holds the weight of the bottom (of the page) in part due to the contrasting green of the iguana and the matching color/length of its tail(s).
White vertical buildings on left match the white boarder on the right accentuating the height of the "tall man".
The "boy" lends inocence and fund to the composition.

  2. I love the light pastel colors and the beach being incorporated. It's very friendly for kids, good job. <3 Sam

  3. Hi, your color are so settle and harmonic, well balance and contrast with the orange, green and yellow shapes and the iguana, Plus type is really dinamic.

  4. Roughs/Blog: has roughs and ideas on blog, you have great photos and examples of the Designers work – Congratulations!!!
Design: This is great work. You pushed the picture forward without it interfering with the type. Your text is finally working – the rectangles show emphasis and at the same time reinforcing your grid – The side text running up the side is a perhaps the only thing out of Hierarchy. The text with your great heading could have been bigger but this is a dynamic and colorful solution to the problem – that means your colors work! Perhaps the text falling into the heading could have more opaqueness so they can be read easlier. That can really only be seen when printed. Congratulations
